Stories of soldier settlement in the Hawkesdale, Macarthur and Penshurst districts of South West Victoria as told by the settlers themselves and their descendants from the time of moving on to blocks with a tin hut or tent to live in until the each block was developed into a working farmstead. Many settlers also shared their wartime experiences.
